कुम्भ की सुरक्षा हेतु
कुम्भ को अपने पेट के नीचे ले
नीचे मुख कर लेटा है
स्व-वश हो सह रहा है
दुःसह कर्म-फल को
वन की घटना-स्मृति के कारण!
सात-आठ हाथ दूर से ही
उपसर्ग यह चलता रहा
निर्दयता के साथ।
जिसके बल पर पार पाना है,
कुम्भ को फोड़ने का प्रयास
कई बार विफल हुआ
जिसके बल पर
प्राणों को त्राण मिला है,
कटि में कसी रस्सी को
शस्त्रों से काटने का प्रयास
एक बार भी सफल नहीं हुआ,
आग की नदी को पार करने वाले
कुम्भ की कठिन तपस्या देख
कहीं जलदेवता ने ही
परिवार के चारों ओर
विक्रिया के बल पर
रक्षा-मण्डल भामण्डल की रचना की हो!
या
यह चमत्कार
मत्स्य-मुक्ता का भी हो सकता है।
कुछ भी हो,
अब आतंकवाद को
स्व-पक्ष का पराजय

Doesn't succeed even for once;
On beholding the severe austerities of the sacred pitcher Which passes through the stream of fire,
It seems, as if the very deity of water,
With his power of Vikriyā (-rddhi), that is,
transformation Creates a safety-and-halo-ring
All around the family!

Any way whatsoever,
Now, by the terrorism,
The defeat of its own side –
