माटी को माथे पर लगाना
और
मुकुट को पैरों में पटकना
यह सब
सभ्य व्यवहार-सा लगता नहीं
अपने प्रति अपनत्व का भाव तो दूर,
उपरिल उपचार से भी
अपनाने का भाव तक यहाँ दिखता नहीं,
यह अपने आप फलित हो रहा है।
इस बात को मैं मानता हूँ, कि
अपनाना-
अपनत्व प्रदान करना
और
अपने से भी प्रथम समझना पर को
यह सभ्यता है, प्राणीमात्र का धर्म,
परन्तु यह कार्य
यथाक्रम, यथाविधि हो
इस आशय को और खोलूँ-
उच्च उच्च ही रहता
नीच नीच ही रहता
ऐसी मेरी धारणा नहीं है,
नीच को ऊपर उठाया जा सकता है,
उचितानुचित सम्पर्क से
सबमें परिवर्तन सम्भव है।
परन्तु!
यह ध्यान रहे-
शारीरिक, आर्थिक, शैक्षणिक आदि
सहयोग-मात्र से
नीच, उच्च बन नहीं सकता
इस कार्य का सम्पन्न होना
सात्त्विक संस्कार के ऊपर आधारित है।

And
Throwing away the crown under the feet –
- All this
Doesn't appear to be like a civilized conduct,
The sense of owning our own is something distant
Indeed, Even according to the ordinary formality,
There doesn't appear to be a sense of belonging here, It is by itself bearing the fruits.
I acknowledge the fact, that
The sentiment of belongingness –
The bestowal of kinship
And
To consider the others at preference to our own self Is civility, it is the moral duty of all the living beings; But, this task,
Should take place in due order, and in due way,
- I should disclose this sense a bit more -
The high one does remain the high
The low one does remain the low –
It is not my firm opinion,
The low one may be uplifted,
Through the proper-improper contacts
A change is possible in every body.
But !
it ought to be kept in mind
Through the physical, monetary, educational etc. Co-operation only
The low one can't be transformed into the high one, This task can be accomplished
On the basis of the virtuous rites.
