अबला के भाल-सम
सब कुछ नीरव-निरीह लग रहा है।
लो,
ढलान में ढुलकते-दुलकते
पाषाण-खण्ड की भाँति
घर आ पहुँचता है सेठ...!
पूरा परिवार अपार हर्ष में डूबा है
पात्र-दान का परिणाम है यह,
पुण्य-शाली कुम्भ भी फूल रहा है।
सब एक साथ भोजनार्थ बैठते हैं
परन्तु,
गौरवर्ण से भरा, पर उदासी से घिरा-
सेठ के मुख को
गौरवशाली कुम्भ ने
गौर से देख कर यूँ कहा, कि
‘‘सन्त-समागम की यही तो सार्थकता है
संसार का अन्त दिखने लगता है,
समागम करने वाला भले ही
तुरन्त सन्त-संयत
बने या न बने
इसमें कोई नियम नहीं है,
किन्तु वह
सन्तोषी अवश्य बनता है।
सही दिशा का प्रसाद ही
सही दशा का प्रासाद है
चतुर-चिकित्सकों से
रोग का सही निदान होने पर

Rolling down over a slope
Like a boulder
The eminent trader reaches his home...!
The whole of the family is merged into unlimited delight, It is the result of the offerings to a worthy personage; The deserving pitcher too is feeling puffed up. All of them gather together to take food
But,
having looked intently
At the eminent trader's face
Fair-coloured, yet filled with dejection –
Thus adds the glorious pitcher, that
“It is the very significance of a saint's arrival, indeed, That the end of the worldliness is visualized, It matters little if The one, who makes an approach, May or may not become at once
A saint, or a person with self-restraint -
There is no rule or regulation whatsoever
But,
He is sure to be a man of self-contentment.
A blessing in the right direction, indeed,
Is a temple in the right condition.
