तथापि
भीतरी करुणा उमड़ पड़ी
सीप से मोती की भाँति
पात्र के मुख से कुछ शब्द निकलते हैं, कि
‘बाहर यह
जो कुछ भी दिख रहा है
सो...मैं...नहीं...हूँ
और वह
मेरा भी नहीं है।
ये आँखें
मुझे देख नहीं सकतीं
मुझमें
देखने की शक्ति है।
उसी का में स्रष्टा
था...हूँ...रहूँगा,
सभी का द्रष्टा
था...हूँ...रहूँगा,
बाहर यह
जो कुछ भी दिख रहा है
सो मैं...नहीं..हूँ।"
यूँ कहते-कहते पात्र के
पद चल पड़े उपवन की ओर
पीठ हो गई दर्शकों की ओर…
पात्र के पीछे-पीछे
छाया की भाँति
कर में कमण्डलु ले
Even then
The inner compassion overflows,
A few words drop out from the lips of the holy guest Like the pearls from an oyster :
“From outside
Whatever is being seen
onde That...I...am...not...indeed
And all that
Doesn't really belong to me.
These eyes
Can't see me
The power to see
Is there within me;
I was...am...and shall be
The maker of that power,
The seer of all
I was...am...and shall be.
From outside
Whatever is being seen
That...I...am...not...indeed!"
Uttering, these words, the feet Of the holy
guest take their way to the small garden, The back gets turned towards the spectators...!
Following closely the holy personage Like a shadow
The noble trader is treading the path With the wooden water-spout (Kamandalu) in his hand
