विषयों का ग्रहण-बोध
इन्द्रियों के माध्यम से ही होता है
विषयी-विषय-रसिकों को।
वस्तु-स्थिति यह है कि
इन्द्रियाँ ये खिड़कियाँ हैं
तन यह भवन रहा है,
भवन में बैठय-बैठा पुरुष
भिन्न-भिन्न खिड़कियों से झाँकता है
वासना की आँखों से
और
विषयों को ग्रहण करता रहता है।
दूसरी बात यह है, कि
मधुर, आम्ल, कषाय आदिक
जो भी रस हों शुभ या अशुभ
कभी कहते नहीं, कि
हमें चख लो तुम।
लघु-गुरु स्निग्ध-रूक्ष
शीत-उष्ण मृदु-कठोर
जो भी स्पर्श हों, शुभ या अशुभ-
कभी कहते नहीं कि
हमें छू लो, तुम।
सुरभि या दुरभि
जो भी गन्ध हों, शुभ या अशुभ-
कभी कहतीं नहीं, कि
हमें सूँघ लो, तुम।
Always, every where, all the same
Whether there is darkness or light.
Yes! O yes!
The perceptive understanding of various objects
Can be attained through the medium of the Sense-organs For the sensual admirers of worldly pleasures. The real thing is that
These sense-organs are the windows
This body has been a mansion,
The Soul, while sitting inside the mansion,
Keeps on peeping through the different windows
With the eyes of Desire
And
Perceives the worldly objects.
The other point is that
The sweet, the sour, the astringent etc. -
Whatever the tastes are there, good or bad -
Never ask, that
We should relish them.
Light-heavy, smooth-rough,
Cold-warm, soft-hard
Whatever the touches-good or evil -
Never ask, that
We should perceive them.
Sweet -smelling or bad-smelling
Whatever the odours-favourable or unfavorable-
Never ask, that
They should be smelled by us.
