    भोजनालय में प्रवेश कीजिए''

    और

    बिना पीठ दिखाये

    आगे-आगे होता है पूरा परिवार।

    भीतर प्रवेश के बाद

    आसन-शुद्धि बताते हुए

    उच्चासन पर बैठने की प्रार्थना हुई

    पात्र का आसन पर बैठना हुआ।

    पादाभिषेक हेतु पात्र से

    किया जाता है विनम्र निवेदन,

    निवेदन को स्वीकृति मिलती है;

    पलाश की छवि की हरते

    अविरति-भीरु अवतरित हुए

    रजत की थाली पर

    पात्र के युगल पाद-तल!

    लो, उसी समय

    गुरु-पद के प्रति

    अनुराग व्यक्त करती थाली भी!

    यानी,

    गुरु-पद का अनुकरण करती

    कुंकुम-कुन्दन-सी बनती लाल।

    छान, तपाये समशीतोष्ण

    प्रासुक जल से भरा

    माटी का कुम्भ हाथों में ले

    दाता, पात्र के पदों पर

    ज्यों ही झुका

    त्यों ही बस,

    कन्दर्प-दर्प से दूर

    गुरु-पद-नख-दर्पण में

    Telling about the purified seating

An humble request is made to the worthy personage (Munirāja) For the holy bathing of the feet,The request is accepted by a slight move of the head. Depriving the red-blossom of a Palāśa tree of

    its splendour The non-abstinence-fearing feat-soles

    Of the sacred guest (Munirāja)

    Descend upon the silver-platter !

    Lo, at that very time

    Even the platter expresses

Its affection for the dignity of the Spiritual Guide Guru ! That is,

In pursuance of the feet of the sacred guest

It grows reddish like saffron or pure gold.

Holding up into his hands the earthen pitcher

    Filled with filtered, heated

    Lukewarm boiled water,

    As soon as the benefactor

Bends down upon the feet of the worthy guest

    At that very moment indeed,

Far away from the pride of cupidity, Being

reflected into the mirror-nails of the saint's feet,
