सहज स्वाश्रित है
और
अनादि-अनिधन…!
विकासोन्मुखी अपनी अनुभूति
चित्त की प्रसन्नता-प्रशस्तता बताने
उद्यमशील कुम्भ को देख,
अग्नि स्वयं अपनी अति के विषय में
कुछ-कुछ सकुचाती-सी कहती है, कि
‘अभी मेरी गति में अति नहीं आई है।
और सुनो !
अति की इति को छूना बहुत दूर है
...अभी वह बहुत दूर है !
मेरा जलाना शीतल जल की
...याद दिलाता है,
मेरा जलाना कटु-काजल का
...स्वाद दिलाता है
यह नियम है कि,
प्रथम चरण में गम-श्रम
...निर्मम होता है,
मेरा जलाना जन-जन को जल
...बाद पिलाता है
एतदर्थ...क्षमा धरना...क्षमा करना-
धर्म है साधक का
धर्म में रमा करना...!”
इन पंक्तियों को सुन कर
कुम्भ के बल को साहस मिला,
उत्साह के पदों में आई चेतना,
और वह कह उठा, कि-
Is naturally self-dependent
And
Having neither a beginning nor an end...!
On seeing the Pitcher
Active to show his developing sensibility
Along with the joy and favourableness of his mind,
The fire itself tells about its own excess,
With a sense of some hesitation, that “At present, there is no excess in my further Movement.
And listen !
To touch the finis of the excess is very far off
...At present, it is something very distant !
My ignition makes one
...Remember the cool water,
My ignition makes one
...Taste the bitter collyrium,
It is a rule that,
In the first step, the woe and hard-work
...Is unkind,
My ignition makes every one
...Drink the water afterwards,
For this reason...to have a sense of forgiveness...
the bestowal of pardon- Is the virtuous conduct of a devotee- Is to rest into righteousness...!"
On hearing these lines
The strength of the pitcher is invigorated,
The steps of enthusiasm feel a new vitality,
And it speaks out that –
