निचले भाग में एक छोटा-सा द्वार है
जिस द्वार पर जा कर कुम्भकार
नव बार नवकार-मन्त्र का
उच्चारण करता है
शाश्वत शुद्ध-तत्त्वको स्मरण में ला कर,
और
एक छोटी-सी जलती लकड़ी से
अग्नि लगा दी गयी अवा में,
किन्तु
कुछ ही पलों में अग्नि बुझती है।
फिर से, तुरन्त
अग्नि जलाई जाती
पुनः झट-सी बुझाती वह!
यह जलन-बुझन की क्रिया
कई बार चली, ...तब
लकड़ी को पुनः कहता है कुम्भकार
सौहार्द-पूर्ण भाषा में :
“लगता है,
अभी इस शुभ-कार्य में
सहयोग की स्वीकृति पूरी नहीं मिली,
अन्यथा
यह बाधा खड़ी नहीं होती!''
इस पर कहती है लकड़ी पुनः
सौम्य स्वागत स्वरों में, कि
‘नहीं...नहीं यह बाधा
मेरी ओर से नहीं है!
स्वीकारतो...स्वीकार...
समर्पण तो...समर्पण...
There is a tiny doorway in the lower part
Approaching that doorway, the Artisan,
Having remembered the eternal supreme soul,
Chants the holy incantation –
Navakāra Mantra' 73 in nine rounds;
And
With a small burning stick,
The fire is awakened into the kiln,
But
Within a few seconds, the fire gets extinguished.
Again, at once
It is kindled
Again it is extinguished instantly !
This activity of fire being kindled and being extinguished Went, on repeatedly,...then
The Artisan again, in a friendly language,
Speaks out to the wood-stick :
“It seems,
The assent for co-operation couldn't be obtained fully At present, in this auspicious deed,
Otherwise
This obstruction won't have stood in the way !”
At this, the wood-stick again tells
With the gentle wordings of welcome, that
'No, no...this hindrance
Hasn't been projected from my side !
Assent does mean...assent...
Dedication does imply...dedication...
