यानी
शिव-पथ पर चलेंगे हम,
यूँ उन्हें वचन देना
महा वरदान है सुख-सुधा,
और
गुरु हो कर लघु जनों को
स्वप्न में भी वचन देना,
यानी
उनका अनुकरण करना
सुख की राह को मिटाना है।
पर, हाँ!
विनय-अनुनय-समेत
यदि हित की बात पूछते हों,
पक्षपात से रहित हो
अक्षघात से रहित हो
हित-मित-मिष्ट वचनों से
उन्हें प्रवचन देना
दुःख के दाह को मिटाना है।”
शनैः शनैः
ज्वर-सूचक यन्त्र-गत
ऊपर चढ़ा हुए उतरता पारा-सम!
या
उबलते-उफनते
ऊपर उठ कर पात्र से बाहर
उछलने को मचलते दूध में
जल की कुछ बूंदें गिरते ही
शान्त उपशमित दूध-सम!
कुम्भ को समझाते कुम्भकार की बातों से
राजा की मति का उफान-
That is to say,
To take a vow before them in the manner that
We shall tread upon the path of spiritual wellbeing,
Is a great boon for the nectar of happiness,
And,
Being a Spiritual Guide i. e., a Guru, To bestow a promise even in a dream to the young Learners,
That is
To follow their ways
Is to demolish the way to happiness.
But, yes !
If they ask something about their well-being
With an earnest request and humility,
- Without any partiality
- Without winking a trickful eye,
To instruct them
With worthy, and suitable and sweet preachings
Is to efface the agony of sufferings.
Little by little
Like risen mercury fluctuating down
Inside the clinical thermometer !
Or
Like the milk boiling-bubbling
And, having risen up, refracting To jump out of the vessel, Getting calmed down and pacified
On some water-drops being mingled with it !
Through the utterings of the Potter-artisan instructing the pitcher
The boiling up of the King's intellect-
