फिर वह
मौन टूटता है,
ॐकार के उच्च उच्चारण के साथ!
शीतल जल करतल ले
मन्त्रित करता है अन्तर्जल्प से
मंगल-कुशलता को
आमन्त्रित करता है अन्तःकल्प से,
मूच्छित मन्त्रि-मण्डल के मुख पर
मन्त्रित जल का सिंचन कर।
फिर क्या कहना!
पल में पलकों में हलचली हुई
मुंदी आँखें खुलती हैं,
जिस भाँति
प्रभाकर के कर-परस पा कर
अधरों पर मन्द-मुस्कान ले
सरवर में सरोजिनी खिलती हैं।
मूच्छ दूर होते ही
मण्डली मुक्ता से दूर भाग खड़ी होती,
राजा का भी स्थानान्तरण हुआ
कहीं पुनरावृत्ति हो न जाय
इस भीति से...!
फिर,
उत्कण्ठा नहीं कण्ठ में
अवरुद्ध भरा-सा कण्ठ है
दबी-दबी कँपती वाणी में।
सजल लोचन लिये
कर मुकुलित किये,
विनयावनत कुम्भकार कहता है:
“अपराध क्षम्य हो, स्वामिन्!
Then, that
Reticence gives way,
With the loud pronunciation of Omkāra !
Having placed cool water on the folded palms.
Consecrates with the internal utterings,
The welfare and the well-being
Is invited with the internal competence,
After sprinkling the water consecrated by Mantras’
Upon the faces of the fainted council of Ministers.
Then, how excellent !
Within seconds, the eyelids fluttered a bit
The closed eyes were unfolded,
In the same manner
As a water-lily blossoms into a pond
With a tender smile on its lips,
On being touched by the sun-beams.
The swoon being faded away
The retinue stayed off at a distance from the pearls, The King too was taken somewhere else
Due to the fear…
Lest the recurrence should take place...!
Then,
No eagerness is there in the heart
The throat seems somewhat choked
Into the suppressed trembling speech.
With wet eyes
With folded hands,
In all humility, the Potter-artisan says:
“The offence be pardoned, O Lord !
