कुलाल-चक्र यह, वह सान है जो
जिस पर जीवन चढ़ कर
अनुपम पहलुओं से निखार आता है,
पावन जीवन की अब शान का कारण है,
हाँ! हाँ!! तुम्हें जो चक्कर आ रहा है
उसका कारण कुलाल-चक्र नहीं,
वरन्
तुम्हारी दृष्टि का अपराध है वह
क्योंकि
परिधि की ओर देखने से
चेतन का पतन होता है।
और
परम-केन्द्र की ओर देखने से
चेतन का जतन होता है।
परिधि में भ्रमण होता है
जीवन यूँ ही गुजर जाता है,
केन्द्र में रमण होता है
जीवन सुखी नज़र आता है।
और सुनो,
यह एक साधारण-सी बात है कि
चक्करदार पथ ही, आखिर
गगन चूमता
अगम्य पर्वत-शिखर तक
पथिक को पहुँचाता है
बाधा-बिन बेशक!"
अब, सहजरूप से सर्व-प्रथम
संकल्पित होता है शिल्पी,
This potter's wheel is that whet-stone
On being placed upon which, the life
Gets purified in most excellent aspects,
It is an instrument of dignity of holy life.
Yes ! yes! the giddiness which you are feeling
Is not caused by the potter's wheel,
But
It is the fault of your vision
Because
On keeping the eye upon the circumference
The spirit gets degraded
And
On keeping one's view fixed upon the Supreme One
The spirit gets salvaged.
One roams about within the circumference -
The life is whiled away aimlessly,
The genuine joy is felt within the Supreme One
The life is found to be happy.
And, listen,
It is an ordinary thing that
The winding ways, indeed,
Ultimately kiss the skies –
Make the pilgrims reach
The unattainable mountain-top
Undoubtedly, without hindrance !”
