करुणा हेय नहीं है,
करुणा की अपनी उपादेयता है
अपनी सीमा...!
फिर भी,
करुणा की सही स्थिति समझना है।
करुणा करने वाला
अहं का पोषक भले ही न बने,
परन्तु
स्वयं को गुरु-शिष्य
अवश्य समझता है
और
जिस पर करुणा की जा रही है वह
स्वयं को शिशु-शिष्य
अवश्य समझता है।
दोनों का मन द्रवीभूत होता है
शिष्य शरण लेकर
गुरु शरण देकर
कुछ अपूर्व अनुभव करते हैं
पर इसे
सही सुख नहीं कह सकते हम।
दुःख मिटने का
और
सुख मिलने का द्वार खुला अवश्य,
फिर भी ये दोनों
दुःख को भूल जाते हैं इस घड़ी में!
करुणा करने वाला
अधोगामी तो नहीं होता,
किन्तु
अधोमुखी यानी-
Compassion is not worthless,
Compassion has its own beneficence
Its own limits...!
Even then,
The true place of compassion has to be Understood.
The one who shows mercy
May not well be a cherisher of self-conceit,
But
He takes himself to be
Surely an eminent disciple
And
The one who is being favoured for compassion
Thinks himself to be
Certainly a younger disciple.
The heart of the both of them is compassionate
The disciple by obtaining shelter
The spiritual guide by granting shelter
Experience something unique.
But
We can't say it to be the true happiness.
The door of the cessation of sufferings
And
The attainment of happiness was surely opened,
Even then the both of these two
Forget the woes at this occasion !
The one who is compassionate
Is not indeed a lower man
But
The one, with a downcast face, that is –
