सन्धि-स्थान की गवेषणा
तुम नहीं कर सकते!"

दाहिनी ओर का
निचला शूल
गाँठ का निरीक्षण करता है।
चारों ओर से सर्वांगीण
और अविलम्ब
उस सन्धि की गहराई में
स्वयं को अवगाहित करता है,
दाहिनी ओर के
उपरिल शूल का सहयोग ले।
दोनों शूलों के चूल
परस्पर मिल जाते हैं।
और
उन शूलों के सबल मूल
परस्पर बल पाते हैं।
फिर भी! इस पर भी!!
गाँठ का खुलना तो दूर,
वह हिलती तक नहीं
प्रत्युत,
शूलों के मूल ही
लगभग हिलने को हैं।
और
शूलों की चूलिकाएँ
टूटने-भंग होने को हैं।
लो! मार्दव मसूड़े तो
इस संघर्ष में
छिल-छुल गए हैं।
The investigation of the joint-hole
Can’t be done by you!”

The lower sharp-tooth
Of the right side
Inspects the knot
Thoroughly from all sides,
And, without delay,
Immerses himself
Into the depth of that joint-hole,
With the co-operation
Of the upper sharp tooth
On the right side.
The pivots of both the sharp teeth
Come together at a close,
And
The strong roots of those sharp teeth
Gather strength from each other.
Even then ! despite this all !!
The unravelling of the knot was a far cry,
It doesn't even get shaken
On the contrary,
The very roots of the sharp-teeth
Are about to move
And
The hinges of the sharp-teeth
Are at the brink of being
Broken, fractured.
Lo ! the soft gums, indeed,
Have got erased and inflammed
During this scuffle
