उत्तेजित हो बोल उठी

“ओरी रस्सी!
मेरी और तेरी
नामराशि एक ही है।
परन्तु
आज तू
रस-सी नहीं है,
निरी नीरस लग रही है।
सीधी-सादी
थी अब तक
दादी, दीदी-सी
मानी जाती थी।
उदारा अनूदरा-सी,
अब सरला नहीं रही तू!
घनी गठीली बनी है।
और
घनी हठीली बनी है।
हठ छोड़ कर
गाँठ को ढीली छोड़ !
अन्यथा
पश्चाताप हाथ लगेगा तुझे
चन्द पलों में जब
अविभाज्य जीवन तेरा
विभाजित होगा दो भागों में ...!”
The flesh
Is about to peep through them.
On seeing this occurrence happening
The tongue also,
On being excited, spoke out
That
"O thou damned cord !
The name-roll of mine as well as thine
Is one and the same,
But
Today, thou art
Appearing to be dull and dry
Almost without flavour,
Thou wert, till now
Simple and upright,
Regarded like
A grand-mother or elder-sister,
Large-hearted and slender-bodied,
Now thou hast not remained candid !
Hast become heavily knotty
And
Hast become solidly tough.
Keeping thy obstinacy away
Let the knot be left loose !
Otherwise
Thou wilt obtain only repentance
Within moments, when,
The indivisible life of thine
Shalt get bifurcated...!”
