रही बात माँ की...सो-
कभी-कभार
किसी कारणवश
माँ की आँखों में भी
उत्तेजना उद्वेग
आ सकता है, आता है
आना भी चाहिए।
किन्तु, आज तक
माँ की गौरवपूर्ण गोद में
गुस्से का घुस आना
न सुना, न देखा-
जिस गोद में सुख के क्षण
सहज बीतते हैं शिशु के।
और देखो ना!
माँ की उदारता-परोपकारिता
अपने वक्षस्थल पर
युगों-युगों से...चिर से
दुग्ध से भरे
दो कलश ले खड़ी है
क्षुधा-तृषा-पीड़ित
शिशुओं का पालन करती रहती है
और
भयभीतों-सुख से रीतों को
गुपचुप हृदय से
चिपका लेती है पुचकारती हुई।
माँ को माँ के रूप में जब
एक बार स्वीकार ही लिया,
Now remains the question of a mother...so –
On some occasions
Due to a particular reason,
In the eyes of a mother too,
Excitement and uneasiness
May be reflected, actually reflects;
should also be reflected.
But, till to-day,
The thrusting of anger
Into the sublime lap of a mother
Has neither been heard, nor seen –
The lap-in which the moments of joy
Of a child pass naturally.
Let us further see !
The generosity and beneficence of a mother
Since ages gone by...since infinity
She stands, holding beside her bosom,
Two jars
Filled with milk, -
Always keeps fostering the babies
Feeling troubled with hunger and thirst,
And
Fondling the frightened and the forlorn,
Brings them secretly
Closer to her heart.
When, once and for all, the mother
Has been adopted, indeed, as the mother one,
