नदी के लोचन नहीं खुले
प्रत्युत, वह नदी
और लोहित हो उठी :
अरे दुष्टो!
मेरे लिए पाताल की बात करते हो!
अब तुम्हारा अन्त दूर नहीं।
और
भंवरदार दिशा की ओर गति
सब ओर से आकृष्ट हो,
आ, आ कर
जहाँ पर सब कुछ लुप्त होता है,
जहाँ पर
स्वयं की परिक्रमा देता
उपरिल जल नीचे की ओर
निचला जल ऊपर की ओर
अति-तीव्र गति से
जा रहा है, आ रहा है,
जहाँ का जलतत्त्व
भू-तत्त्व को अपने में समाहित कर अट्टहास कर रहा है,
जहाँ पर
कुछ पशु, कुछ मृग
कुछ अहिंसक, कुछ हिंसक
कुछ मूच्छित, कुछ जागृत
कुछ मृतक, कुछ अर्ध-मृतक
अकाल में काल के कवल होने से
सबके मुखों पर
जिजीविषा बिखरी पड़ी है,
सबके सब विवश हो
बहाव में बहे जा रहे हैं।
The eyes of the river feel no awakening
Contrary to it, that river
Turns more reddish in colour :
“ You talk of infernal regions of hell !
O you, the scoundrels !
Now, your extinction is not far off.”
And
A move towards the swirl-direction
Where, being drawn from all sides,
Each and every thing disappears
After joining the flow,
Where
Circumambulating itself,
The upper water-level is gushing downwards,
The lower water-deposit is rushing upwards
In a very fast motion,
Where, the watery existence
Is bursting into a loud laughter
After engulfing the Earth-element within its fold;
Whereat
Some beasts, some deers
Some the violent; others the non-violent,
Some of them under swoon, while the others awake; Some the dead, others the half-dead-
Over the faces of all of them,
An instinct-to-live is still lurking,
Due to their being a morsel of untimely death, –
All of them, under some compulsion,
Are being carried away by the current.
