निहारता रहा निन्दा की नियति से।
एक बार और
उसका डर भर उठा है
उद्विग्नता से-उत्पीड़न से
और
पराभव से अपन्न हुई
उच्छृखल उष्णता से।
इसके सिवा
और क्या कर सकता है
सबलों के सम्मुख बलहीन वह मुख!
और
साधित मन्त्रों से मन्त्रित होते हैं
सात नींबू!
प्रति नींबू में
आर-पार हुई है सूई
काली डोर बँधी है जिन पर।
फिर,
फल उछाल दिये जाते हैं
शून्य आकाश में
काली मेघ-घटाओं की कामना के साथ।
मन्त्र-प्रयोग के बाद
प्रतीक्षा की आवश्यकता नहीं रहती
हाथों-हाथ फल सामने आता है
यह एकाग्रता का परिणाम है।
मन्त्र-प्रयोग करने वाला
सदाशयी हो या दुराशयी
इसमें कोई नियम नहीं है।
नियन्त्रित-मना हो बस!
यही नियम है, यही नियोग,
और यही हुआ।
Keeps on staring with the fixity of condemning it.
Once more
Its alarm has been filled up
With sulkiness-with oppression
And
With the unrestrained hotness
Which originated from its defeat.
Except this
What else can that frail-faced do
In front of those who are powerful !
And
The seven lemons
Are consecrated by accomplished spells !
Across each of the lemon
A needle, fastened with black strings,
Has been pierced through.
Then,
Into the empty space
The fruits are tossed up
With a wish of dark gathering of clouds.
There remains no need for expectations
After the application of the spell,
The outcome is obtained instantly,
It is the result of concentration.
The applicator of the spell
May be well-intentioned or ill-intentioned
No rule is applicable in this context.
It is enough that he should have controlled his mind!
This is the very rule, this is the very mission,
And this is what happened.
