युगों-युगों का इतिहास
इस बात का साक्षी है कि
इस वंश-परम्परा ने
आज तक किसी कारणवश
किसी जीवन पर भी
पद नहीं रखा, कुचला नहीं...
क्योंकि
अपद जो रहे हम!
यही कारण है कि सन्तों ने
बहुत सोच-समझ कर
हमारा सार्थक नामकरण किया है।
“उरग''...।
हूँ! हाँ!!
हम पर कोई पद रखते
हम छेड़ते...तो…
हम छोड़ते नहीं उन्हें।
जघन्य स्वार्थसिद्धि के लिए
किसी को पद-दलित नहीं किया हमने,
प्रत्युत, जो
पद-दलित हुए हैं
किसी भाँति,
उर से सरकते-सरकते
उन तक पहुँच कर
उन्हें उर से चिपकाया है,
प्रेम से उन्हें पुचकारा है,
उनके घावों को सहलाया है।
अपनी ममता-मृदुता से
कण-कण की कथा सनी है,
अणु-अणु की व्यथा हनी है।
The history of the past ages
Is the testimony of the fact, that
This lineage
Has tread under its feet, has crushed
Not even a single life, till today,
For any reason, whatsoever...
Because,
We have remained without feet, indeed!
It is the reason why the saints,
After so much of thinking and understanding
Have meaningfully named us
“Uraga'..., that is, a crawling reptile, a serpent.
Yes ! yes !
If someone puts his feet upon us
If someone teases us...then...
We never spare them.
We have never trodden anyone under our feet,
For detestable selfishness,
Contrary to it, those,
Who have been downtrodden,
Somehow,
- After gliding upon our bosoms
Having reached by their side
We have embraced them,
We have fondled them with affection,
We have treated their wounds gently.
With our fondness and humility The story of each
and every particle has been filled in, The sufferings of each and every atom have been effaced.
