यह भी एक नियोग है, कि
सुजन का प्यार कभी
सुरा से हो नहीं सकता।
विधवा को अंग-राग
सुहाता नहीं कभी
सधवा को संग-त्याग
सुहाता नहीं कभी,
संसार से विपरीत रीत
विरलों की ही होती है।
भगवाँ को रंग-दाग
सुहाता नहीं कभी!''
कुम्भ की भाव-भाषा सुन कर
ऐसा प्रतीत हुआ सेठ को उस क्षण कि
साधुता का साक्षात्
आस्वादन हो रहा है।
खार की धार से अब
क्या अर्थ रहा ?
सार के आसार से अब
क्या प्रयोजन ?
सोये हुए सब-के-सब
सार के स्रोत जो
समक्ष फूट पड़े...
अहो भाग्य! धन्य!!
कुम्भ के विमल-दर्पण में
सन्त का अवतार हुआ है।
और
It is also an injunction (Niyoga), that
A virtuous person can never
Have a liking for wine.
The cosmetics are
Never agreeable to a widow,
The separation with her husband
Is never favourable to a married woman,
Only the rare personages adopt a mode of living
Contrary to the sinful ways of the worldliness,
The colour-stain is never acceptable
To the saffron dye.
On hearing the feelings and the words of the sacred pitcher The eminent trader felt at that moment, as if The actual taste of saintliness
Is being perceived by him.
What sense does the sharpness
Of the thorn carry now?
What purpose do the symptoms
Of the essence now serve ?
Indeed, all the slumbering sources
Of the sum and substance
Do spring up before the eyes…
How fortunate ! good luck !!
The descent of the ascetic has reflected into
The bright mirror of the pitcher,
And –
