फिर भी
तिथियों को अपने आप नहीं रखता वह,
तिथियाँ काल के आश्रित हैं ना!
परिणतियाँ अपनी-अपनी
निरी-निरी हुआ करती हैं,
तिथियों के बन्धन में बँधना भी
गतियों की गलियों में भटकना है।
कथंचित्!
यतियों का बन्धन में बँधना वह
नियति के रंजन में रमना है।’’
यूँ सत्-पात्र की होती रही मीमांसा।
इधर,
अबाधित आहार-दान चल रहा है
और ऐसा ही यह कार्य
सानन्द-सम्पन्न हो,
इसी भावना में
संलग्न-मग्न हुआ है सेठ।
उसके दोनों कन्धों से उतरती हुई
दोनों बाहुओं में लिपटती हुई,
फिर दायें वाली बायीं ओर
बायीं वाली दाहिनी ओर जा
कटि-भाग को कसती हुई
नीले उत्तरीय की दोनों ओर
नीचे लटक रही हैं।
ऊपर देख नहीं पा रही है,
कुम्भ की नीलिमा से वह
पूरी तरह हारी है
Even then
He doesn't keep up the dates with him
The due dates really depend upon the time-factor, isn't it ! Modifications take their own courses
They differ from person to person,
To be bound with the chains of dates too
Is to wander within the lanes of worldly existence.
On any account ! Getting bound of ascetics under any bonds Is to dwell upon the delights of destiny."
Thus went on the discourse about the worthy
Personage-saint.
Hither,
The unobstructed offerings of food are going on
And this very act as such
Should be accomplished joyfully,
- The eminent trader has attached and absorbed himself Into this very sentiment.
Descending from the both of his shoulders,
Clinging around the both of his arms,
– Then, both the ends of the blue ‘Upper-garment',
– The right-sided end moving towards the left one
While the left-sided end moving towards the right one Thus, fastening around the waist-part –
Are hanging downwards.
It is unable to have an upward look,
It has been fully defeated
By the bluishness of the pitcher -
