सेवक चुन लेता है कुम्भ
एक-दो लघु, एक-दो गुरु
और
शिल्पी के हाथ में
मूल्य के रूप में
समुचित धन देने का प्रयास हुआ
कि
कुम्भकार बोल पड़ा-
“आज दान का दिन है
आदान-प्रदान लेन-देन का नहीं
समस्त दुर्दिनों का निवारक है यह
प्रशस्त दिनों का प्रवेश-द्वार!
सीप का नहीं, मोती का
दीप का नहीं, ज्योति का
सम्मान करना है अब!
चेतन भूल कर तन में फूले
धर्म को दूर कर, धन में झूले
सीमातीत काल व्यतीत हुआ
इसी मायाजाल में,
अब केवल अविनश्वर तत्त्व को
समीप करना है,
समाहित करना है अपने में, बस!
वैसे,
स्वर्ण का मूल्य है
रजत का मूल्य है
कण हो या मन हो
प्रति-पदार्थ का मूल्य होता ही है,
परन्तु,
धन का अपने आप में मूल्य
The attendant selects pitchers
One or two small, and one or two big in size
And
An attempt is made to put the proper money
As the price
Into the hands of the craftsman
When
The Artisan speaks out –
“ It is the day of charity to-day
And not that of the give and take, the interchange,
It is the preventive measure for all the miserable days - The gateway for the auspicious days !
We have to honour now -
Not the shell, but the pearl
Not the lamp, but the flame !
Forgetting the soul, we get allured by the body
Discarding the religiousness, we swing with the money An unlimited time-span is frittered away
Under this very snare of worldly illusion,
Now only the nearness with the imperishable
Soul Has to be established,
Has only to be composed within our own ‘self'!
Somehow or other,
The gold has its value
The silver has its value
Whether it is a particle or forty seras, i.e., a ‘mana’
Each and everything, indeed, has its value,
But,
The value of money in itself –
