सदा सरकती सरिताओं की
सरवर सरसिज सुषमा की
आदि...आदि...यूँ
भाँति...भाँति आभाओं की
धरती से सरलिम प्रीति वह
और बढ़ती जा रही है
और बढ़ती जा रही है...!
अरे यह कौन-सी परिणति उलटी-सी!
सागर की गरलिम रीति है…
और चिढ़ती जा रही है
धरती की बढ़ती कीर्ति को देख कर!
हे सखे!
अदेसख-भाव है यह
...बेशक...!
कुम्भ को मिटा कर
मिट्टी में मिला-घुला कर
मिट्टी को बहाने हेतु
प्रशिक्षिता हुई प्रेषिता थीं,
जो पर-पक्ष की पूजा कर
मुक्ता की वर्षा करतीं
धरती के यश को और बढ़ाती हुईं
लजीली-सी लौटती बदलियों को देख
सागर का क्षोभ पल-भर में
चरम सीमा को छूने लगा।
लोचन लोहित हुए उसके,
भृकुटियाँ तन गई
गम्भीरता भीरुता में बदलती है
That of the ever-gliding rivers
That of the pool with the loveliness of Lotus
Etc. ...etc. ...thus
That of the diverse splendours -
Natural that love with the Earth
Is prospering more and more
soo Is growing ever and ever...!
Oh, what is this reverse-like tendency!
The practice of the ocean is venomous…
It is getting more and more irritated
On seeing the growing glory of the Earth !
O dear friend!
It is a malicious feeling
...Undoubtedly...!
Having destroyed the pitcher
on Having dissolved and mixed it into the dust,
- Which are trained and directed messengers
To make the soil flow as waste -
- Which, having adored the opposite side,
Cause the pearls to fall out, -
On beholding those shy cloudlets turning back
After enriching the glory of the Earth,
The anguish of the ocean
Reaches its climax within moments .
Its eyes turn reddish
The eyebrows get knitted together
The gravity changes into fright –
