कितना खुला विषय है कि
उजली-उजली जल की धारा
बादलों से झरती है
धरा-धूल में आ धूमिल हो
दल-दल में बदल जाती है।
वही धारा यदि
नीम की जड़ों में जा मिलती
कटुता में ढलती है;
सागर में जा गिरती
लवणाकर कहलाती है।
वही धारा, बेटा !
विषधर मुख में जा
विष-हाला में ढलती है
सागरीय शुक्तिका में गिरती,
स्वाति का काल हो,
मुक्तिका बन कर
झिलमिलाती है बेटा,
वही जलीय सत्ता !
जैसी संगति मिलती है
वैसी मति होती है।
मति जैसी, अग्रिम गति
मिलती जाती... मिलती जाती...
और यही हुआ है
युगों-युगों से
भवों-भवों से !
Primarily with the nose of Faith,
Do you grasp the point…!
And pay heed to this also !
What a manifest phenomena is it that
The shining showers,
Which pour down from the clouds,
On being Smoky, after mingling with the dusty ground,
Are converted into a morass.
That very current of water
When mingles with the roots of Margosa
Is moulded into bitterness;
That very stream, dear Child,
When merges into a sea
ls called a 'mine of Salt’ !
While dropping into the mouth of a snake
It is moulded into a Venomous wine;
While falling into an oceanic oyster
If it is the period of Swaiti
That Very Watery existence...
After turning into a pearl,
Dazzles, dear Child !
The intellect holds good
According to the company We keep
The advancing course of action unfolds itself...
According to our line of thinking
And that is what has happened
Since the ages long-departed
Since the births by-gone !
