इस निन्द्य कार्य के प्रति
छी...छी...
थू...थू...कह
धिक्कारती-सी रसना
गाँठ के सन्धि-स्थान पर
लार छोड़ती है।
परिणाम यह हुआ कि
रस्सी हिल उठी
अपने भयावह भविष्य से!
और, कुछ ही पलों में
गाँठ भीगी,
नरमाई आई उसमें
ढीली पड़ी वह।
फिर क्या पूछो।
दाँतों में गरमाई आई
सफलता को देख कर!
उपरिल और निचले
सामने के सभी दाँत
तुरन्त गाँठ को खोलते हैं।
अब रस्सी पूछती है रसना को
जिज्ञासा का भाव ले-
कि
‘‘आपके स्वामी को क्या बाधा थी
इस गाँठ से ?”
सो रसना रहस्य खोलती है :
‘‘सुन री रस्सी!
And
For this culpable deed
The tongue, as if cursing,
While saying...tush...tut...
Fie...Pish…
Drops its saliva
At the juncture-point of the knot.
The result was that
The cord was frightened
For its fearful future !
And, within moments,
The knot got moistened
It softened,
It looked loose.
Then, what to say !
The teeth were warmed up
On seeing the success !
The upper as well as the lower
And all the frontal teeth
Untie the knot at once.
Now the cord asks the tongue
With a sense of curiosity -
That
“What was the obstruction for your lord
By this knot ?”
Hence, the tongue reveals the mystery:
“listen to me, O cord !
