उपादान-कारण ही
कार्य में ढलता है
यह अकाट्य नियम है,
किन्तु
उसके ढलने में
निमित्त का सहयोग भी आवश्यक है,
इसे यूँ कहें तो और उत्तम होगा कि
उपादान का कोई यहाँ पर
पर-मित्र है...तो वह
निश्चय से निमित्त है
जो अपने मित्र का
निरन्तर नियमित रूप से
गन्तव्य तक साथ देता है।''
और फिर एक बार,
रस्सी की ओर आदर की आँखों से
देखता हुआ परिवार
छने जल से कुम्भ को भर कर
आगे बढ़ कि
वही पुराना स्थान
जहाँ माटी लाने आया है
शिल्पी कुम्भकार वह!
परिवारसहित कुम्भ ने
कुम्भकार का अभिवादन किया
कि
स्मृतियाँ ताजी हो आईं
मानो पवन का परस पा कर
सरवर तरंगायित से आया।
The material cause, indeed,
Gets moulded into action
It is an irrefutable law,
But
In the process of it getting moulded
The assistance of the efficient cause too is necessary,
It shall be better if it is put the other way, that
If the material cause has hereat
Any super-friend, then...it is
Certainly the efficient cause,
Which assists its friend
In a continuous and regular way
Till the destination is reached.”
And, once again,
Casting its respectful glances towards the cord,
The whole of the family,
Having filled the Sacred Pitcher with the
filtered water,
Takes some steps forward, when
That same old spot comes into sight
Where that same Artisan, pot-maker!
Has arrived to gather the soil! The Sacred Pitcher, along with family, Bows respectfully before the Artisan-pot-maker, When
The memories get revived
As if, on feeling the touches of the wind,
The reservoir starts rippling with waves.
