मूल्य-हीन, उपेक्षित देख
बदले के भाव से भरा
भीतर से जलता-घुटता स्वर्ण-कलश!
लो,
परिवार सहित सेठ को
समाप्त करने का षड्यन्त्र!
दिन और समय निश्चित होता है,
आतंकवाद को आमन्त्रित करने का।
यह बात निश्चित है कि
मान को टीस पहुँचने से ही,
आतंकवाद का अवतार होता है।
अति-पोषण या अति शोषण का भी
यही परिणाम होता है,
तब
जीवन का लक्ष्य बनता है, शोध नहीं,
बदले का भाव...प्रतिशोध!
जो कि
महा-अज्ञानता है, दूरदर्शिता का अभाव पर
के लिए ही नहीं,
अपने लिए भी घातक!
इस विषय में गुप-चुप
मन्त्रणा होती है स्वर्ण-कलश की
अपने सहचरों-अनुचरों से।
इस असभ्यता की गन्ध नहीं आती
परिवार के किसी सदस्य को,
सभ्यों की नासिका वह
भूखी रह सकती है, पर
भूल कर स्वप्न में भी
दुर्गन्ध की ओर जाती नहीं।

No member of the family
Smells this vulgarity, –
That nose of the civilized ones
May remain hungry, but
Doesn't, even by mistake, or in dream,
Feel inclined towards the bad-smelling.
