शोक-सिलसिला का अन्त...वह?
जब
काल-प्रवाह का सुदूर...खिसकना हो
तब कहीं...
अशोक-वृक्ष की श्यामल छाँव मिले!
कुछ ही दिनों में कुछ-कुछ नहीं
सब कुछ अच्छा, अतुच्छा हुआ,
दाह की स्वच्छन्दता छिन्न-भिन्न हुई
इस सफल प्रयोग से।
कवि की स्वच्छ-भावों की स्वच्छन्दता-ज्यों
तरह-तरह के छन्दों को देख कर
अपने में ही सिमट-सिमट कर
मिट जाती है, आप!
शास्त्र कहते हैं, हम पढ़ें
औषधियों का सही मूल्य
रोग का शमन है।
कोई भी औषधि हो
हीनाधिक मूल्य वाली होती नहीं,
तथापि
श्रीमानों, धीमानों की आस्था
इससे विपरीत रीतवाली हुआ करती है,
और जो
बहुमूल्य औषधियों पर ही टिकी मिलती है।
सेठ जी इस बात के
अपवाद हैं।
Then..., at what point of time -
That continuation of sorrows ceases to be...?
When
The flow of the time-stream glides far...and far away,
Then, and then alone...somehow...
May bless the dark blue shade of the Asoka Tree !
After a few days, not only partially,
But wholly, all was cured and improved,
The vagaries of inflammation were shattered
Through this fruitful experiment.
As the fancifulness of the fair mood of a poet,
On beholding the vividness of stanzas,
Is pacified on its own accord
After shrinking within itself!
The holy books say, we should learn, -
The true value of the medicines
Is the cure of the ailments.
Any medicine, whatsoever it be,
Never carries less or more value with it,
Even then
The belief of the rich and the wise
Holds the sway which goes contrary to it,
And which
Is found resting upon the costly medicines only.
The eminent trader
Is an exception to it.
