    Contrary to it,

Through its throbbing touch of hand

    Makes them dance

Sings to them sweet songs in its buzzing sound.

    In this very manner, indeed,

The delight of the donor too knows no bounds

    He feels transported with joy,

By bestowing food-offerings to the holy personages (Munirājas). The dense darkness is dispelled, A new morn dawns into life

And this is...what is really called

The large black-bee-like practice of the saints !

Thus, there are so many practices of a ‘Sramaņa’

    Through which

Are manifested the spiritual splendours -

Which are heard humbly through the Scriptures,

Which have come near and nearer to-day

To be visible before the naked eye.

    The result is that

The whole of the noble trader's family

    Is filled with great exhilaration

And into both the fair-coloured hands

    Of the noble trader

The earthen pitcher is placed gracefully

Like a sapphire set into a golden ornament.

Between those hands and the pitcher,

In the form of mutual admiration,

    Some points are exchanged, when

At first, the pitcher utters -
