साहस-पूर्ण जीवन से
नदी को बड़ी प्रेरणा मिल गई
नदी की व्यग्रता प्रायः अस्त हुई
समर्पण-भाव से भर आई वह!
और
नम्र-विनीत हो कहने लगी :
उद्दण्डता के लिए क्षमा चाहती हूँ।"
और
तरल-तरंगों से रहित
धीर गम्भीर हो बहने लगी,
हाव-भावों-विभावों से मुक्त
गत-वयना नत-नयना
चिर-दीक्षिता आर्या-सी!
लगभग यात्रा आधी हो चुकी है
यात्री-मण्डल को लग रहा है कि
गन्तव्य ही अपनी ओर आ रहा है।
कुम्भ के मुख पर प्रसन्नता है
प्रथम श्रेणी में उत्तीर्ण
परिश्रमी विनयशील
विलक्षण विद्यार्थी-सम।
परिवार भी फूल रहा है कि
पुनरावृत्ति आतंक की-
वही रंग है वहीं ढंग है
अंग-अंग में वही व्यंग्य है
वही मूर्ति है वही मुखड़े
वही अमूच्छित-तनी मूँछे
वही चाल है वही ढाल है।
By its high-spirited life
The river gained a strong impetus,
The bewilderment of the river generally subsided
It got itself filled with a sense of dedication !
And
Speaks out in an humble polite manner :
“I apologize for my arrogance.
And Devoid of splashing waves,
Starts to flow being resolute and grave,
Like a female hermit, long-initiated as a disciple,
Free from coquettish gestures and
deformed sentiments
Observing silence with the eye-lids cast down!
Almost half of the journey has been done,
The group of travellers is feeling
As if the very destination is proceeding towards them.
A sense of gladness reflects upon the face of the
sacred pitcher Like that of an uncommon pupil,
Hardworking and humble,
Getting through in first division.
The family, too, is being puffed up, while
The terrorism repeats itself
The same is the colour, the same the behaviour –
There appears the same sarcasm in every limb,
The same is the idol, the same the faces
Those very virulently twisted moustaches,
The same is the mien, the same the method
