विषाक्त कंटक वाली
ऊपर उठी पूँछ हैं जिनकी
ऐसे मांस-भक्षी
मह्म-मगरमच्छ
भोजन-गवेषणा में रत
परिवार के आस-पास
सिर उठाने लगे हैं।
और भी अन्य कूरवृत्ति वाले
विविध जातीय जलीय जन्तु
क्षुब्ध दिख रहे क्षुधा के कारण,
तथापि
परिवार की शान्त मुद्रा देख
क्षोभ का नूतन प्रयोग करना
जो मूल-धर्म है उनका
भूल-से गये हैं,
उनकी वृत्ति में आमूल-चूल
परिवर्तन-सा आ गया है,
भोजन का प्रयोजन ही छूट गया।
और जैसे
भगवान को देखते ही
भक्त के मन में भजन का भाव
फूट गया है
हेय-उपादेय का बोध,
क्षीर-नीर-विवेक,
कर्तव्य की ओर मुड़न
यूँ भाँति-भाँति, जागृति आ गई
जलचरों के जीवन में।
Whose tails, full of venomous thorns,
Are held high-up –
Such flesh-eaters
Gigantic crocodiles,
While busy with the search of their eatables,
Have started holding their heads up
Around the family.
Some other watery creatures also
of various types, with cruel attitude,
Appear to be anguished due to hunger,
Even then,
On beholding the tranquil posture of the family,
They seem to have almost forgotten
To take up a new experiment of disturbance
Which is their basic cult;
Their attitude seems to be Changed from top to bottom, -The very purpose of eating has been abandoned, indeed.
And, as if,
At the very vision of God,
The sense of chanting a hymn
Has sprouted into an adorer's heart,
-The sense of the worthless and the beneficial,
The power of distinguishing the “Reality' from
“Illusion, The turning towards the dutifulness
So, the life of the watery creatures,
Has thus felt an awakening in different ways.
