जीवन का ध्येय नहीं है,
देह-नेह करने से ही
आज तक तुझे
विदेह-पद उपलब्ध नहीं हुआ।
दयाहीन दुष्टों का
दयालीन शिष्टों पर
आक्रमण होता देख-
तरवारों का वार दुर्वार है
इस वार से परिवार को बचाना भी
अनिवार्य है, आर्यों का आद्य कार्य''-
यूँ सोचता हुआ गज-दल
परिवार को बीच में करता हुआ
चारों ओर से घेर कर खड़ा हुआ।
गजगण की गर्जना से
गगनगन गूंज उठा,
धरती की धृति हिल उठी,
पर्वत-श्रेणी परिसर को भी
परिश्रम का अनुभव हुआ,
नि:संग उड़ने वाले पंछी
दिग्भ्रमित भयातुर हो,
दूसरों के घोंसलों में जा घुसे,
अजगरों की गाढ़ निद्रा
झट-सी टूट गई,
जागृतों को ज्वर चढ़ गया,
मृग-समाज मार्ग भूल कर
मृगराज के सम्मुख जा रुकी,
बड़ी बड़ी बाँबियाँ...तो...
Isn't the aim of life,
Thou couldn't attain the spiritual incorporeal status
Upto even this day
Due to thine corporeal attachment.
On seeing the merciful civilians
Being attacked
By merciless villains –
It is difficult to safeguard against the blows of the
swords To save the family from such assaults, indeed

The roaring of the elephant-ring
Resounds across the vast sky,

The deep slumber of the pythons
Is broken all of a sudden,
The wakeful ones suffer from fever,
Forgetting its right path a sect of deers
After going astray, stops before a lion,
Even the snake-holes, huge in size...indeed...
