आँखें मुद जातीं साधारण जनता की इधर,
जो बार-बार होठों को चबा रहे हैं,
क्रोधाविष्ट हो रहे हैं,
परिणामस्वरूप, होठों से
लहू टपक रहा है,
जिनका तन गठीला है
जिनका मन हठीला है
जिनने
धोती के निचले छोरों को
ऊपर उठा कर
कस कर कटि में लपेटी है,
केसरी की कटि-सी
जिनकी कटि नहीं-सी है,
कदली तरु-सी जिनकी जंघाएँ हैं
जिन जंघाओं का मांस
अट्टहास कर रहा है।
यही कारण है कि
जिनके घुटने दूर से दिखते नहीं हैं,
निगूढ़ में जा घुस रहे हैं।
मस्तक के बाल
सघन, कुटिल और कृष्ण हैं
जो स्कन्धों तक आ लटक रहे हैं
कराल-काले व्याल-से लगते हैं।
जिनका विशाल वक्षस्थल है,
जिनकी पुष्ट पिंडरियों में
नसों का जाल उभरा है,
धरा में वट की जड़े-सी
जिनकी आकुल आँखें,
सूर्यकान्त मणि-सी
अग्नि को उगल रही हैं।
Hither, the eyes of the public get closed;
Those who are frequently munching their lips,
Who are being enveloped into anger,
As a result of which, the blood
Is dripping from the lips;
Whose body is well-built
Whose mind is stubborn
By whom
The lower edges of the 'dhotis
After being folded up,
Have been fastened tight around their waists,
Whose loins draw almost no parallels
With the waists of lions,
Like banana trees are their thighs –
Whose fleshiness
Is laughing loudly.
This is the very reason why
From a distance do not appear the knees,
Which are thrusting themselves into obscurity.
The hair on their heads
Are dense, curly and dark-black
Which are hanging down upto the shoulders
Appear to be like dreadful black serpents.
Who have a broad chest, -
Into whose sturdy shins
A network of nerves has swelled out,
Like the roots of a Banyan tree into the Earth
Whose agitated eyes
Are emitting fire
Like a jasper.
