यह उपचार तो स्वतन्त्र है
अपव्ययी नहीं, मितव्ययी है।
इसके प्रयोग से
किसी प्रकार की प्रतिक्रिया नहीं होती
तन और मन के किसी कोने में।
छूने को मन मचले
ऐसी छनी हुई
कुंकुम-मृदु-काली माटी में
नपा-तुला शीतल जल मिला,
उसे रौंद-रौंद कर
एकमेक लौंदा बना,
एक टोप बना कर
मूच्छों के प्रतिकार हेतु
सर्व प्रथम,
सेठ जी के सर पर चढ़ाया गया।
जल से भरे पात्र में
गिरा तप्त लौह-पिण्ड वह
चारों ओर से
जिस भाँति
जल को सोख लेता है,
उसी भाँति टोप भी
मस्तक में व्याप्त उष्णता को
प्रति-पल पीने लगा।
ज्यों-ज्यों उष्णता का अनुपात
घटता गया
त्यों-त्यों जागृति का प्रभात
प्रकटता गया।
This remedy is, indeed, independent
It is not wasteful but economical.
Through its usage
Adverse reactions of any type do not appear,
Within any corner of the body or the mind.
The heart may get excited to have a touch -
- The dark black soil, soft like saffron,
Filtered in such a manner -
Is mixed up with cool water in accurate quantity,
Having kneaded it well,
It is turned into one single lump,
After moulding it into a cap
At first,
It is plastered around the eminent trader's head
For the sake of warding off the delirium.
The manner
In which the hot iron-ball,
Fallen into a vessel full of water,
Absorbs the water –
From all sides -
Similarly, the soil-cap too
Starts drinking up every second,
The heat pervading the head.
The more the proportion of the heat
Goes on decreasing,
The more the dawn of awakening
Manifests itself in the same order.
