अवसर सरक चुका है
अतीत के असीम वन में।
मानता हूँ,
कि सदा-सदा से
ज्ञान ज्ञान में ही रहता,
ज्ञेय ज्ञेय में ही,
तथापि
ज्ञान का जानना ही नहीं
ज्ञेयाकार होना भी स्वभाव है,
तो...इस ओर देखने में
हानि क्या थी ?
लगता है ज्ञेयों से भय लगता हो
नामधारी सन्त के ज्ञान को,
ऐसी स्थिति में निश्चित ही
स्वभाव समता से विमुख हुआ जीवन
अमरत्व की ओर नहीं
समरत्व की ओर
, मरण की ओर, लुढ़क रहा है।
और सुनो!
उच्च स्वर में केसर ने कहा :
“जीवन का, न यापन ही
नयापन है।
और
नय्यापन!''
इस भाँति,
कुम्भ और अन्य पात्रों के बीच
वाद-विवाद होता गया,
The opportunity has slipped away
Into the unbounded jungle of the past.
I accept,
That since time immemorial
The knowledge truly lives upon knowledge,
The knowable, in fact, exists within the knowable,
Even then
Not only to know,
But to be also one with the knowable, is the nature of knowledge, So...what is the harm
In looking into this side ?
It seems that the knowledge of the so-called saint
Should have felt alarmed with the knowables,
In such a condition, certainly,
A life opposed to one's temperament and equanimity Is sliding towards conflict,
Towards doom,
And not towards immortality.
And, hark !
The saffron adds in his sharp tone :
“ Non-sliding of the life-time, indeed,
Is the freshness
And
The sailing on in a boat!”
In this way,
A debate goes on Between the Earthen pitcher and the other vessels- (characters) –
