यथार्थ में तुम सवर्ण होते
तो...फिर...वह
दिनकर का दुर्लभ दर्शन
प्रतिदिन क्यों न होता तुम्हें ?
हो सकता है दिवान्ध-सम
प्रकाश से भय लगता हो तुम्हें,
इसीलिए...तो..
बहुत दूर...भू-गर्भ में
गाड़े जाते हो तुम।
सम्भव है रसातल में
रस आता हो तुम्हें,
तुम्हारी संगति करने वाला
प्रायः दुर्गति का पथ पकड़ता है
यह कहना असंगत नहीं है।
तुम्हें देखने मात्र से
बन्धन से साक्षात्कार होता है
बन्धन-बद्ध बन्धक भी हो तुम
स्व और पर के लिए।
परतन्त्र जीवन की आधार-शिला हो तुम,
पूँजीवाद के अभेद्य
दुर्गम किला हो तुम
और
अशान्ति के अन्तहीन सिलसिला!
हे स्वर्ण-कलश!
एक बार तो मेरा कहना मानो,
कृतज्ञ बनो इस जीवन में,
माँ माटी को अमाप मान दो
मात्र माँ, माँ, नाम लो अब!
Had you been really one of the higher caste or colour Then...indeed...that
Rare vision of the Sun
Why wouldn't have been feasible to you daily ?
May be that, like a day-blind, an owl
You feel afraid of the light,
That is why...
You are buried
Into a very distant...interior part of the Earth.
It is probable that you relish the taste
Of hell, the lowler underworld,
The one, who falls in company with you,
Generally takes to the path of misery –
It is not irrelevant to say so.
At the very sight of you
One perceives the actual presence of bondage,
You are a bondage-bound mortgage too
For the ‘self' as well as the “non-self.'
You are the foundation-stone of a dependent life,
You are the impenetrable, inaccessible
Fort of the capitalism,
And
An endless series of restlessness!
"O thou golden pitcher !
Obey, at least once, what I say
Be grateful in this life
Extend immeasurable honour to Mother Earth,
Only remember the name “Mother', 'Mother now!”
