विराग के प्रति अनुराग रखते,
दोनों का ध्येय बन्धन से मुक्ति है
फिर भला बताओ जरा!
मुझे क्यों बन्धन में डालते ?
अब
मुझे भी बन्धन रुचता नहीं
मानती हूँ इस बात को कि
विगत मेरा गलत है,
और
किसका नहीं ?
पतित है पलित-पंकिल भी
गलित है चलित-चंचल भी,
परन्तु
आज की स्थिति बदली है
गलत लत से बचना चाहता हूँ।
पाप पुण्य से मिलने आया है
विष पीयूष में घुलने आया है
हे प्रकाश-पुंज प्रभाकर!
अन्धकार की प्रार्थना सुनो!
बार-बार भगाने की अपेक्षा
एक बार इसे जगा दो, स्वामिन्!
अपने में जगह दो इसे
मिटाओ या मिलाओ अपने में;
प्रकाश का सही लक्षण वही है
जो सबको प्रकाशित करे!
एक और धृष्टता की बात कहूँ, कि
भाग्यशाली भाग्यहीन को
कभी भगाते नहीं, प्रभो!
भाग्यवान भगवान बनाते हैं।”
Who has attachment for non-attachment;
Both of you aim at freedom from bondage
Then, please tell me, a bit rather !
Why do you throw me into the bondage ?
Now
I too don't like bondage
I acknowledge the point that
My past is wrong,
And
Whose past isn't so ?
It is depraved, old and muddy also
It is decayed, fickle and restless too,
But
The situation to-day has undergone a change
I wish to escape the wrong habits (Sapta-vyasanas).
The Sin has arrived to meet moral merits
The poison has come to be dissolved into nectar
O thou mass of light, the Sun !
Listen to the request of Darkness !
O Lord, wake up him for once
Than putting him to flight once and again !
Allot a place for him with you
Efface him or affiliate him with yourself;
The true sign of light is only that
Which enlightens the one and all !
– I show the audacity to add one thing more !
The unlucky is never driven off
By the fortunate ones, O Lord!
They make him the lucky one, the god.”
