शोक से शून्य, सदा अशोक हैं
जिनका जीवन ही विरति है
तभी...तो...
उनसे दूर...फिरती रहती रति वह;
जिनके पास संग है न संघ,
जो एकाकी हैं,
फिर चिन्ता किसकी उन्हें ?
सदा-सर्वथा निश्चिन्त हैं,
अष्टादश दोषों से दूर...
ऐसे आर्हतों की भक्ति में डूबता है,
कुछ पलों के लिए
नासाग्र-दृष्टि हो, महामना।
श्रमण का कायोत्सर्ग पूर्ण हुआ कि
आसन पर खड़ा हुआ वह अतिथि
दोनों एड़ियों और पंजों के बीच,
क्रमशः चार और ग्यारह
अंगुल का अन्तर दे।
स्थिति-भोजन-नियम का ही नहीं,
एक-भुक्ति का भी पालक है।
पात्र ने अपने युगल करों को
पात्र बना लिया,
दाता के सम्मुख आगे बढ़ाया।
‘‘मन को मान-शिखर से
नीचे उतारने वाली
‘भिक्षा-वृत्ति' यही तो है”
यूँ कहती हुई यह लेखनी
क्षुधा की मीमांसा करती है:
Who are devoid of sorrow, always in the state of
sorrowlessness.
Whose very life is free from worldly attachments,
That is...why...
The sensual pleasures loiter about, keeping away from them;
Those who have neither attachment in belongings nor any union of saints
Those who are alone-only their own True ‘selves
Whom should they care for ?
They are always fully beyond all worries,
Absolved from the eighteen blemishes.
The spiritual or meditative relaxation (Kāyotsarga)
O by the ascetic is performed, when
The holy saint stands upon the seat, After maintaining a difference Of four and eleven finger's breadth Between the both of his heels and the toes
He is the custodian of not only the rule of taking food in the standing posture, But also
the observer of the ‘one-meal-a-day’ The worthy personage (Munirāja) folds Both his hands like a bowl And furthers it before the benefactor.
This is the very practice of dependence
