आसन से उतर कर
सोल्लास सेठ ने भी
हँसमुख सेवक के हाथ से
अपने हाथ में ले लिया कुम्भ,
और
ताजे शीतल जल से
धोता है कुम्भ को स्वयं!
फिर, बायें हाथ में कुम्भ ले कर,
दायें हाथ की अनामिका से
चारों ओर कुम्भ पर
मलयाचल के चारु चन्दन से
स्वयं का प्रतीक, स्वस्तिक अंकित करता है-
'स्व' की उपलब्धि हो सबको
इसी एक भावना से।
और
प्रति स्वस्तिक की चारों पाँखुरियों में
कश्मीर-केसर मिश्रित चन्दन से
चार-चार बिन्दियाँ लगा दीं।
जो बता रहीं संसार को, कि
संसार की चारों गतियाँ सुख से शून्य हैं।
इसी भाँति,
प्रत्येक स्वस्तिक के मस्तक पर
चन्द्र-बिन्दु समेत, ओकार लिखा गया
योग एवं उपयोग की स्थिरता हेतु।
योगियों का ध्यान
प्रायः इसी पर टिकता है।
हलदी की दो पतली रेखाओं से
कुम्भ का कण्ठ शोभित हुआ,
जिन रेखाओं के बीच
Stepping down from his seat
The eminent trader too, joyfully,
Holds out the pitcher in his own hand
From the hand of the cheerful attendant,
And
He washes it himself thoroughly
With the fresh cool water !
Then, holding the pitcher into his left hand,
Marks the fylfot, a symbol of one's own ‘Self',
By his ring-finger of the right hand
On all the four sides around the pitcher,
With the lovely sandalwood from the Mount Malaya- Cherishing the only feeling
That everyone should accomplish his own ‘Self '.
And
Inside all the four petals of the each of the fylfot,
With the sandalwood, mingled with Kashmira-saffron, Spotted four round drops each,
Which are telling the world, that
All the four worldly courses of transmigration of soul Are devoid of real happiness. In the same manner, On the head of every fylfot

The throat of the pitcher is adorned
With the two thin streaks of turmeric,
The streaks, amid which –
