पात्र-दान अतिथि-सत्कार।
परन्तु,
पात्र हो पूत-पवित्र
पद-यात्री हो, पाणिपात्री हो
पीयूष-पायी हंस-परमहंस हो,
अपने प्रति वज्र-सम कठोर
पर के प्रति नवनीत...
...मृदु और
पर की पीड़ा को अपनी पीड़ा का
प्रभु की ईडा में अपनी क्रीड़ा का
संवेदन करता हो।
पाप-प्रपंच से मुक्त, पूरी तरह
पवन-सम निःसंग
परतन्त्र-भीरु,
दर्पण-सम दर्प से परीत
हरा-भरा फूला-फला
पादप-सम विनीत।
नदी-प्रवाह-सम लक्ष्य की ओर,
अरुक, अथक...गतिमान।
मानापमान समान जिन्हें,
योग में निश्चल मेरु-सम,
उपयोग में निश्छल धेनु-सम,
लोकैषणा से परे हों
मात्र शुद्ध-तत्त्व की
गवेषणा में परे हों,
छिद्रान्वेषी नहीं
गुणग्राही हों,
प्रतिकूल शत्रुओं पर
Alms to a worthy personage, hospitality to a guest.
But,
The personage should be deserving and pious
Should be a traveller on foot, using his palms as his vessels A nectar-taker, a liberated soul a great ascetic with divine powers, Hard upon himself like a thunder-bolt For the others, as soft and mild…
As butter..., and
Should be experiencing
His own pain in the pain of the others’
His own playfulness in the eulogy to God.
Free from all snares of sin
Fully, without bondage, like air,
Afraid of dependence,
Like a mirror, devoid of arrogance
Humble like a tree - Green, grown-up, under perfect fruition.
Like the flow of a river, Towards his destination
Undeterred, unwearied...dynamic.
For whom regard and disregard is similar,
Firm like the Mount Meru,while observing penance, Like an honest cow while providing functional consciousness, Who lives beyond worldly ambitions Attains excellence only in the
Investigation of Supreme Reality;
Should be the merit-seeker
And not the fault-finder
Who never tells heavily upon The opposing foes,
