नया योग है, नया प्रयोग है
नये-नये ये नयोपयोग हैं
नयी कला ले हरी लसी है
नयी सम्पदा वरीयसी है
नयी पलक में नया पुलक है
नयी ललक में नयी झलक है
नये भवन में नये छुवन हैं
नये छुवन में नये स्फुरण हैं।
यूँ, यह नूतन परिवर्तन हुआ
तथापि,
इसका प्रभाव कहाँ पड़ा-
मौन-आसीन शिल्पी के ऊपर,
मन्द-मन्द सुगन्ध पवन
बह-बह कर भी वह
अप्रभावक ही रह्य।
शिल्पी के रोम-रोम वे
पुलकित कहाँ हुए ?
अपरस को परस वह
प्रभावित कब कर सकता...?
शिल्पी की नासा तक पहुँच कर भी
गुलाब की ताजी महक वह
उसकी नासा को जगा न सकी।
भोगोपभोग की ये वस्तुएँ
...जब
भोग-लीन भोक्ता को भी
तृप्त नहीं कर पाती हैं।
फिर...तो...यहाँ-
It is new association, new experiment These
are new and newer usages of the standpoints
The novel art has befitted with the greenery
The new prosperity is more superior
There is a new thrill into new eyelids
There is a new glimpse into a new longing
There are new touches, into the new mansions
Into the new touches, there are new throbbings.
Thus, this novel change occurs
Even then,
Where does it leave its impact –
Upon the silently seated Artisan,
That soft fragrant breeze
In spite of blowing constantly,
Remains ineffective.
Where do the rows of hair over the body
Of the Artisan feel thrilled ?
When can that touch
Influence the untouched...?
The fresh fragrance of the rose,
Despite reaching the nostrils of the Artisan,
Can't wake up his nasal sense
These things of worldly enjoyments and luxuries
... When
Can't satisfy
Even a pleasure-seeking enjoyer
Then...indeed...hither -
