कुछ क्षण मौन!
फिर पवन ने कहा विनय के साथ
कि
‘‘मुझे याद किया...सो
कारण ज्ञात करना चाहता हूँ
....जिससे कि
प्रासंगिक कर्त्तव्य पूर्ण कर सकूँ
अपने को पुण्य से पूर सकूँ,
और
पावन-पूत कर सकें, बस
और कोई प्रयोजना नहीं...
हाँ!
पर के लिए भी कुछ करूं
सहयोगी-उपयोगी बनूँ
यह भावना एक बहाना है,
दूसरों को माध्यम बना कर
मध्यम-यानी समता की ओर बढ़ने
बस, सुगमतम पथ है,
और
औरों के प्रति अपने अन्दर भरी
ग्लानि-घृणा के लिए विरेचन!''
पवन के इस आशय पर
उत्तर के रूप में, फूल ने
मुख से कुछ भी नहीं कहा,
मात्र गम्भीर मुद्रा से
धरती की ओर देखता रहा।
फिर,
दया-द्रवीभूत हो कर
करुणा-छलकती दृष्टि फेरी
सुदूर बैठे शिल्पी की ओर...
Silence for some moments !
Then, the wind utters meekly,
that
"You remember me....therefore,
I wish to know the reason thereof,
...So that
I may perform the relevant duties
May fill up myself with virtuous deeds,
And
Only sanctify myself,
No other purpose is there...
Yes !
I should do something for the others also
May become co-operative, helpful,
This sentiment is a pretext,
To advance towards the ‘middle', that is,
equanimity,
By making good use of others as medium...
Only, it is the easiest way,
It acts as a purge for aversion and hatred
With which we are filled for the others !”
Upon this intention of the wind
The flower doesn't say even a word,
As a reply to it!,
lt keeps on starting at the ground
With a grave face only
Then,
Being melted by mercy
It turns its eye full of pathos
Towards the Artisan, sitting at a distance far off...!
