सूचित भावानुसार तुरन्त,
बादलों ने बिजली का उत्पादन किया,
क्रोध से भरी बिजली कौंधने लगी
सबकी आँखें ऐसी बन्द हो गईं
चिपक गई हों गोंद से कहीं!
सूझबूझ बुझ-सी गई सबकी
औरों की क्या कथा,
निसर्ग से, अनिमेष रहा इन्द्र भी
निमेष-भर में निमेषवाला बन गया,
यानी
इन्द्र की आँखें भी
बार-बार पलक मारने लगीं।
तभी इन्द्र ने आवेश में आ कर
अमोघ अस्त्र वज्र निकाल कर
बादलों के ऊपर फेंक दिया...।
वज्राघात से आहत हो
मेघों के मुख से’ आह' ध्वनि निकली,
जिसे सुनते ही
सौर-मण्डल बहरा हो गया।
रावण की भाँति चीखना
मेघों का रोना वह
अपशकुन सिद्ध हुआ सागर के लिए,
और
आग-उगलती बिजली की आँखों में
भूरि-भूरि धूल-कण
घुस-घुस कर
दुःसह दुःख देने लगे।
ऐसी विषम-स्थिति को देख
बिजली भी कँपने लगी,
यही कारण हो सकता है कि
In accordance with the informed idea, at once
The clouds produce electrical power,
The fretful lightning dazzles and thunders,
The eyes of all are closed in such a manner
As if they are stuck with gum !
The wit of everyone seems to be depressed
Not to mention others,
Naturally, even Lord Indra, who looks Unwinkingly
Becomes a blinker within moments,
That is to say
Even the eyes of Lord Indra
Start twinkling once and again.
At that very moment impulsively Lord Indra
Having taken out his infallible weapon-the Thunderbolt Launches it towards the clouds....
Being wounded with the stroke of the thunderbolt
A deep sigh of pain burst out of the throat of clouds, On hearing which
The solar system goes deaf.
Like an outcry by Rāvana
That shedding of tears of the clouds
Proves to be an unlucky omen for the ocean,
And
Entering into
The eyes of the lightning vomiting fire,
The particles of dust in heaps
Create unbearable troubles.
On seeing such an odd situation,
Even the lightning starts trembling
Perhaps, due to this very reason...
