अदम्य आकांक्षा
सर्व-भक्षिणी वृत्ति…
सागर की इस स्थिति को देख कर
तेज प्रभाकर को
सहा नहीं गया यह सब!
अतः रवि ने
सागर-तल के रहवासी
तेज तत्त्व को सूचित किया
गूढ़ संकेतों से सचेत किया
जो प्रभाकर से ही शासित था,
जातीयता का साम्य भी था जिसमें;
परिणामस्वरूप तुरन्त
बड़वानल भयंकर रूप ले खौल उठा,
और
‘‘हे क्षार का पारावार सागर!
तुझे पी डालने में
एक पल भी पर्याप्त है मुझे
यूँ बोल उठा।
आवश्यक अवसर पर
सज्जन-साधु पुरुषों को भी,
आवेश-आवेगों का आश्रय ले कर ही
कार्य करना पड़ता है।
अन्यथा,
सज्जनता दूषित होती है
दुर्जनता पूजित होती है
जो शिष्टों की दृष्टि में इष्ट कब रही...?
कथनी में और करनी में बहुत अन्तर है,
जो कहता है वह करता नहीं
And all-devouring tendency....
On seeing this position of the ocean
The luminous Sun
Couldn’t tolerate this all!
Therefore it
Informed the lustrous element
Residing at the sea-floor
With mysterious hints aroused it
Which was governed by the Sun itself,
- Where there was found communal
similarity too;
The result was that at once
The submarine fire fiercely boiled up,
And
O thou sea, an endless deposit of salty matter !
Even a single second is enough to me
For drinking thee off upto the last drop’
- Thus grumbled it out.
On some inevitable occasion
Even the gentle and saintly persons
Have to fulfil their responsibility
By taking recourse to flurry and fury.
Otherwise,
The goodness gets defiled
The villainy gets extolled Has it
ever been desirable in the eyes of the well bred...?
