But listen...!
That pearl, worth its name,
Neither indulges into affection
Nor fills itself with malice !
Nor vanity, self-conceit, jealousy -
No other passions can touch it !
At first, it gets rained upon the courtyard
From the blue sphere,
Then, it is scattered around in portions
And is packed into the bags.
Now it is being carried, with due regard,
Towards the royal palace…
It is being admired, without any reserve,
But
When does it listen to it being enchanted ?
It is enshaped into the safe-guarding necklaces
of the ladies with buoyant faces !
It extends blissful touch of its palm
Upon the heads of visitors and guests at the door,
It is utilized as the liberating gate-festoon,
Despite this all
That unchained one remains a liberated-’pearl’
Unstained with arrogance...unfettered...!
The king, pondering over
The submission of the Potter-artisan
The admiration and backing
Of the pearls and the surroundings,
Extends his welcome to the offer of acceptance,
Delightfully !
