यह सब देख कर
भयभीत हुआ राजा का मन भी,
उसका मुख खुला नहीं
मुख पर ताला पड़ गया हो कहीं,
हाथ की नाड़ी ढीली पड़ गई।
राजा को अनुभूत हुआ, कि
किसी मन्त्र-शक्ति के द्वारा
मुझे कीलित किया गया है
हाथ हिल नहीं सकते,
...थम गये हैं।
पाद चल नहीं सकते
...जम गये हैं।
धुंधला-धुंधला-सा दिखने लगा,
कान सुन नहीं सकते,
...गुम हो गये हैं।
प्रतिकार का विचार मन में है
पर, प्रतिकार कर नहीं सकता,
किंकर्तव्यविमूढ़ हुआ राजा!
और
माहौल का मन्तव्य गूढ़ हो गया!
जमाने का जमघट आ गया
इसी अवसर पर !
कुम्भकार का भी आना हुआ,
देखते ही इस दृश्य को
एक साथ शिल्पी की आँखों में
तीन रेखाएँ खिंचती हैं
विस्मय-विषाद-विरति की!
विशाल जन-समूह वह
विस्मय का कारण रहा,
On seeing all these happenings
The mind of the king too felt afraid,
His lips did not move apart
As if the mouth was somewhere locked-up,
The throbbing in the hand-pulse was loosened,
The king feels, that
He has been nailed down
By the influence of some incantations
The hands have become motionless, ...Have
Stiffened
The feet can't move on
...Have become co-agulated.
The sight has become dim and foggy,
The ears have lost audibility,
... Have become distracted.
The idea of retaliation lurks in the mind
But, the revenge can't be taken,
The king found himself into a fix
And
The aim and objective of the surroundings became obscure ! The crowds of the world thronged around On this very occasion !
The Potter-artisan too arrived,
At the very sight of this scene
The three lineations of wonder-sorrow desirelessness Spring up together
Into the eyes of the Artisan !
That vast assemblage
Was the cause of wonder;
