जिनमें
सहन-शीलता आ ठनी
हनन-शीलता सो हनी,
जिनमें...
सन्तों-महन्तों के प्रति
नति नमन-शीलता जगी
यति यजन-शीलता जगी
पक्षपात से रीता हो कर
न्यायपक्ष की गीता-समीता बनी...!
भावी भोगों की अभिलाषा को
अभिशाप देती-सी
शुक्ला-पद्मा-पीता-लेश्या-धरी
भीगे भावों, भीगी आँखों वाली
विनय-अनुनय से भरी
प्रभाकर को परिक्रमा देती पुनः
पुण्य में पलटाने पाप के पाक को।
घटती इस घटना का
अवलोकन किया धरती की आँखों ने,
उपरिल देहिलता झिलमिलाई
निचली स्नेहिलता से मिल आई।
धरती के अनगिन कर ये
अनगिन कणों के बहाने
अधर में उठते अविलम्ब!
और,
घटना-स्थल तक पहुँचते
बदली की आँखों से छूट कर
गालों पर, कुछ पल ठहरे, चमकते
सात्विक जीवन के सूचक
शित-शुभ्र विशुद्ध
टपकते जल-कणों को सहलाने।

The killingness was beaten out,
In whom...
Modesty and a sense of salutation
For the saints and sages awakened
The sense of holy offerings for the ascetics
was aroused Being devoid of partiality The verses of righteous thinking became opportune...!
As if cursing
The longings for future worldly pleasures
The white, red, yellow ‘fairies' of coloured emotions, Filled with a sense of humility and courtesy Having moisted feelings and damp eyes
Were circumambulating the Sun For converting the ripeness of sins into moral merits.
The eyes of the Earth beheld
The occurrence of this event,
The external corporeal existence glimmered
And paid a visit to the internal affection.
These countless hands of the earth
In the guise of innumerable atoms,
Would raise themselves up into the sky soon!
And,
Would reach the spot of occurrence
To rub gently the trickling water-drops
Rolling down from the eyes of the cloudlet
And resting on the cheeks for a while, –
- The symbols of bright pious life,
White, graceful and refined.
