‘कु' यानी पृथिवी
‘मा' यानी लक्ष्मी
और
‘री' यानी देने वाली..
इससे कुल मिला कर भाव निकलता है कि
यह धरा सम्पदा-सम्पन्ना
तब तक रहेगी
जब तक यहाँ ‘कुमारी' रहेगी।
यही कारण है कि
सन्तों ने इन्हें
प्राथमिक मंगल माना है
लौकिक सब मंगलों में...!
धर्म, अर्थ और काम पुरुषार्थों से
गृहस्थ जीवन शोभा पाता है।
इन पुरुषार्थों के समय
प्रायः पुरुष ही
पाप का पात्र होता है,
वह पाप, पुण्य में परिवर्तित हो
इसी हेतु स्त्रियाँ
प्रयत्नशीला रहती हैं सदा।
पुरुष की वासना संयत हो,
और
पुरुष की उपासना संगत हो,
यानी काम पुरुषार्थ निर्दोष हो,
बस, इसी प्रयोजनवश
वह गर्भ-धारण करती है।
संग्रह-वृत्ति और अपव्यय-रोग से
पुरुष को बचाती है सदा,
अर्जित-अर्थ का समुचित वितरण करके।
"Ku, that is, ‘earth'
“Mā', that is, 'Lakşamī
And
‘RI means giver' or bestower...
It all carries the sense that
This earth shall remain well off with prosperity
So long as
There remains a virgin, that is, Kumāri, here.
That is why
The saints have acknowledged them
As the prime benediction...!
Among all the conventional benedictions !
The house holder 's-life is glorified Through the supreme objects of life-i.e., Dharma, Artha , Kāma- The attainment of religiousness, prosperity and fulfilment of desire. In pursuit of these supermanly acts Generally the man, indeed,
Owns the eligibility for sinning, That sin be converted into the goodness- The ladies always take pains With this object in view.
The passional desires of man should be controlled,
And
The adoration of man should be consistent,
That is, the exertions for the fulfilment of desire
should be faultless, -Only with this very purpose in view She bears pregnancy.
She always protects the mankind From the habit of hoarding and the disease of dissipation, Through the proper distribution of the earned ‘money’.
