अपने साथ दुर्व्यवहार होने पर भी
प्रतिकार नहीं करने का
संकल्प लिया है धरती ने,
इसीलिए...तो...धरती
सर्वं-सहा कहलाती है
सर्व-स्वाहा नहीं…
और
सर्वं-सह्य होना ही
सर्वस्व को पाना है जीवन में
सन्तों का पथ यही गाता है।
न्याय-पथ का पथिक बने
सूर्यनारायण से यह अन्याय
देखा नहीं गया, सहा नहीं गया
और
अपने मुख से किसी को
कहा नहीं गया!
फिर भी, अकर्मण्य नहीं हुआ वह
बार-बार प्रयास चलता रह्म सूर्य का,
अन्याय पक्ष के विलय के लिए
न्याय पक्ष की विजय के लिए।
लो! प्रखर-प्रखरतर अपनी किरणों से
जलधि के जल को
जला-जला कर सुखाया,
चुरा कर भीतर रखा हुआ
अपार धन-वैभव दिख गया
सुरों, सुराधिपों को!
इस पर भी स्वभाव तो...देखो,
जला हुआ जल वाष्प में ढला
The Earth has taken a vow
Not to retaliate
On being even ill-treated,
That is...why...the Earth
Has been called all-enduring
And not all-destroying…
And
To be all-enduring, indeed,
Is to attain the whole substance in life -
The path of the saints sings really thus.
Being the way-farer of the path of justice
The Sun-god can not see,
Can not bear this injustice
And
Can not give out, indeed,
His tongue to none else !
Even then, he does not become inactive
The endeavour of the Sun goes on continually,
For the dismissal of the side of injustice,
For the victory to the side of justice.
Lo! through his hot and hotter rays
The water of the ocean
Is heated on to get dried up,
The endless wealth and splendour
Which is stealthily hidden inside
Comes in view of the gods, the celestial chiefs !
Despite this all, behold... the real nature,
The burnt up water turns into vapour
