बोल-चाल की भाषा में
इस सूत्र का भावानुवाद प्रस्तुत है :
आना, जाना, लगा हुआ है
आना यानी जनन-उत्पाद है
जाना यानी मरण-व्यय है
लगा हुआ यानी स्थिर-ध्रौव्य है
और
है यानी चिर-सत्
यही सत्य है, यही तथ्य...!
इससे यह और फलित हुआ, कि
देते हुए श्रय परस्पर में मिले हैं
ये सर्व-द्रव्य पय-शक्कर से घुले हैं
शोभें तथापि अपने-अपने गुणों से
छोड़े नहीं निज स्वभाव युगों-युगों से।
फिर कौन किसको कब
ग्रहण कर सकता है?
फिर कौन किसका कब
हरण कर सकता है...?
अपना स्वामी आप है
अपना कामी आप है
फिर कौन किसका कब
भरण कर सकता है...?
फिर भी, खेद है
ग्रहण-संग्रहण का भाव होता है।
सो...भवानुगामी पाप है।
अधिक कथन से विराम हो
आज तक यह रहस्य खुला कहाँ ?
जो ‘है' वह सब सत्
The interpretation of the aphorism
Is presented thus in the colloquial wordings:
‘In-coming ’and ‘out-going' is in force
In-coming, that is, birth - is ‘production
Out-going, that is, death - is ‘destruction
In force, that is, fixedness - is ‘continuation’
And
'Entity, that is, the eternal ‘Being’, is there
This is the ‘Truth' indeed, this very the ‘Reality'...!
The further resultant of this is, that,
All these substances have mixed up,
While bestowing shelter to each other
Have dissolved like milk and sugar
-Looked splendid, with their own qualities
But did not shed off the inherent nature Since ages by gone ! Then who can catch up with
Whom, and at what moment ? Then who can steal away Whom, and when...?
Thou art the Lord of thy own self
Thou art the Wisher of thy own self,
Then, who can nourish whom
And at what moment...?
Even then, alas !
The feeling of seizure and collection exists –
So...it is a sin, which remains with the next births.
