शान्त-रस किसी बहाव में
बहता नहीं कभी
जमाना पलटने पर भी
जमा रहता अपने स्थान पर।
इससे यह भी ध्वनि निकलती है कि
करुणा में वात्सल्य का
मिश्रण सम्भव नहीं है।
और
वात्सल्य को हम
पोल नहीं कह सकते
न ही कपोल-कल्पित।
महासत्ता माँ के
गोल-गोल कपोल-तल पर
पुलकित होता है यह वात्सल्य।
करुणा-सम वात्सल्य भी
द्वैत-भोजी तो होता है।
पर, ममता-समेत मौजी होता है,
इसमें
बाहरी आदान-प्रदान की प्रमुखता रहती है,
भीतरी उपादान गौण होता है
यही कारण है, इसमें
अद्वैत मौन होता है।
सहधर्मी-सम
आचार-विचारों पर ही
इसका प्रयोग होता है
इसकी अभिव्यक्ति
मृदु मुस्कान के बिना
सम्भव ही नहीं है।
वात्सल्यरस के आस्वादन में
The Sentiment of Quietism
Doesn’t flow under any drive
Even when the era alters
It stands firm on its very spot.
It also implies that
The admixture of Parental Affection
Is not possible with Compassion
And
The Parental Affection
Can neither be declared as baseless
Nor can it be asserted as mere imaginary.
Upon the surface of the circular cheeks
Of the grand existence of Mother-Nature
This Sentiment of Parental Affection rejoices.
The Sentiment of Parental Affection, like Compassion,
Is bipartite indeed
But, along with fondness, it is merry-making,
With it
The external give and take plays an important role,
The internal factors are subsidiary
That is why the sense of non-duality
Remains inert in it.
Like an associate member of a religion
It is applied only
On behaviour and thoughts
The expression of it
Is surely not possible
Without a sweet smile.
In the tasting of the Sentiment of Affection,
